What is the purpose of Bandfiner?The Bandfinder website functions in two ways: First is to provide a permanent on-line billboard for bands, songwriters, record labels etc. The second is to provide a one stop site for fans and lovers of music to find new bands, record labels and music.
The site is based on the relatively new concept called pixel advertising. If you have ever heard of the milliondollarhomepage you will know just how effective these sites can be.
The advertising space is divided into 100x100 pixel boxes which when fully filled will contain hundreds of logos linking directly to bands websites. You can buy as many of these boxes as you like, the more you buy the bigger your logo will appear on the main page.
What do I get?What you get is alot of exposure and publicity within a high traffic enviroment. These sites tend to snowball after a short while meaning new contacts, potential fans and new revenue streams for your music.
If you advertise you will recieve:
Higher traffic rates to your site
The chance to plug specific releases, CD's etc
Higher search engine ranking
Increased product sales
An increasing new fan base
As the site fills up it gets more links which gets more traffic to the site spreading the word and getting more people to view your site.
Is it good value for money?Yes I believe it is good value. I have created three pricing tears in attempt to cater for all budgets (as a struggling musician myself I understand that bands don't always have much cash).
Premium boxes cost $40 per box and will appear in the top third of the grid.
Gold boxes cost $20 per box and will appear in the middle third of the grid.
Silver boxes cost $10 per box and will appear in the bottom third of the grid.
Once added your logo will be visible for a minimum of five years. So if you purchase one silver box that works out at just $2 per year to have a permanent link to your website on a highly trafficed pixel site.
Is this site effective?Yes, absolutley. The original pixel site www.milliondollarhomepage.com sold all of its pixels in just 6 months generating huge volumes of traffic to the site. Its advertisers claim that hits to their sites have increased dramatically and resulting sales figures "have gone through the roof".
Bandfinder will be heavilly promoted through its myspace sister site WWW.myspace.com/bandfinder1 where there are millions of music lovers looking for new music.
I also have plans to advertise the site in music publications such as computermusic, the skinny, the music news etc.
How do I purchase pixels/boxes?Easy, just click on the get pixels link at the top of the page and you will be taken through the purchase process:
First you choose in which section of the grid you would like to advertise in(Premium, Gold, or Silver).
Second you select the blocks you would like your logo to appear in by clicking on the blocks in the grid (you can choose as many blocks as you like).
Third click on the link the fields button where you will be asked to upload an image. Don't worry if you don't have an image to use as there are some at the bottom of the page which you are free to use.
Fourth fill in the address of your website to be linked to along with a description of your band/site and your email address. You will be then taken to the purchase page where you can pay with paypal.
We will activate your link as soon as we recieve payment

How can I pay?Payment is through paypal as I believe it is the safest and fastest way to transfer money on-line with no added costs to the buyer.

What can I do to maximize my investment?Tell everyone you know about Bandfinder, friends, family, bands, musicians, the media.
Join www.myspace.com/bandfinder1 and tell all of your friends on myspace.
You can click on the link us button at the bottom of the page and post a text or banner link on your website/myspace site. The more poeple who know about bandfinder the more hits your site will get.
